Butter-soft suede. Not stiff or cardboard-y. In a fawn/light brown. Beautiful condition with original tags The original label describes this as a safari jacket unlined field jacket. But it's - in reality - an overshirt. I have a suede overshirt from RL and this is identical in terms of the fine leather used. It really is beautiful. I'm a 44 chest and it's a good size on me (over a shirt or jumper) and I'd suggest would be a perfect fit up to about 46/47" chest. These are my measurements. Pit to pit (laid flat) is 25 inches or 64 cm Collar to bottom hem (rear) is 31.5 inches or 80cm Sleeve from shoulder seam to cuff is 31.5 inches or 80cm
